How to turn a puzzle into a clock
‘A Day with Alastair Wombat‘ is a great puzzle that helps teach you children how to read an analogue clock. So if ever you want to turn it into an actual clock since all the numbers are in the right places, here’s how to do it!

You will need 1. ‘A Day with Alastair’ Whirligig boxed 108 piece puzzle and 2. Clock mechanism that you can buy from any craft shop, 3. a drill and 4. optional glaze.
Step 1. Make up your puzzle.
Step2. Cut a piece of wood, cardboard or foamboard to the exact size of the puzzle.
Step 3.Spread the board with wood glue.
Step 4. Carefully slide the fully made up puzzle onto the wooden panel and allow to set.
Step 5. Drill a small hole into the centre of the puzzle.
Step 6. At this point you may wish to glaze the puzzle with suitable wood glazing product.Allow to dry thoroughly.
Step 7. Fit the clock mechanism through the drilled hole and secure the clock hands.
Step 8. Hang your puzzle clock on the wall.(You could put the whole thing in a frame if you wish)
Enjoy looking into Alastair’s world in Happy Hill and comparing your day with his.
